Accounts Payable Specialist Job Opening in Chicago, Illinois - Validate a high volume of invoices matching packing slips with purchase orders utilizing paper and electronic systems.
Prepare checks processing weekly check runs.
Must be proficient in Excel and Word as part of check run process and tracking functions.
Work closely with Accounting Department responsible for accounts receivable and special projects as needed.
Responsible for Payroll back-up and learning the Payroll system.
Minimum of 3 years progressive experience in Accounts Payable preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Human Resource and communication skills are a strong plus for this position.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter with excellent organizational skills.
