Position: Revenue Cycle Analyst
Basic Job Description:
Efficiently and professionally resolve Insurance accounts analyzing and reviewing for payment resolution, working all assigned rejections and denials.
Professionally answer incoming telephone calls from Payers and patients providing answers to questions and concerns about billing statements. Return all unanswered calls within 24 hours of receipt.
Provide status on all claims within 30 to 45 days of claim filing date by calling Insurance or checking online.
Handle all correspondence within 1 week of receipt.
Prepare and sends written appeals when necessary with appropriate documentation.
Follow up on active status reports and process refund in a timely fashion.
Work exception reports, review EOB?s for correct contract payment.
Contact Insurance for correct reimbursement either by a telephone call or sending a provider dispute form.
All work on each account should be accurately documented in the system on the appropriate account and date of service.
Handle all questions and Insurance accounts from Patient Financial Services and Revenue Cycle staff.
Other duties and/or projects may be assigned when necessary.
