Cash/Treasury Analyst Job Opening in Washington, District of columbia - The National Railroad Retirement Investment Trust (NRRIT or Trust) is a $26 billion trust created by an Act of Congress in 2001 to fund the retirement benefits of eligible railroad workers and their dependents; it is a tax-exempt entity independent from the Federal government with an office in downtown Washington DC.
NRRIT is seeking a highly motivated individual who can provide cash management, reporting, budgetary, and operations support in meeting the multi-faceted responsibilities of the Trust. This individual must have exceptional organizational and analytical skills, a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, demonstrate the ability to initiate and complete projects and work independently.
Job Responsibilities
Monitor cash activity, cash analysis and delivering daily cash reports
Monitor daily cash flow to ensure adequate resources are available in the operating accounts
Reconcile daily cash accounts
Assist in preparing the monthly cash forecast
Perform electronic payment processing of domestic and international transactions, including ACH and wire transactions using a treasury management system
Assist with global bank accounts/completing all international and domestic cash management services documentation completion which includes account monitoring, opening/closing, signature authorization updates, as necessary
Provide actual vs. forecast budget variance analysis
Assist in preparing the annual budget
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting
Prepare, develop and maintain ad hoc or custom reports as needed

Bachelor?s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
2 to 4 years of work experience in corporate treasury, financial services or a related field, pension fund experience is ideal
Experience in cash management or treasury operations in corporate or banking environment
Strong analytical skills and detail-oriented aptitude; a high degree of accuracy is required
Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Excel, Word and Outlook
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
