Staff Accountant Job Opening in South Bend, Indiana - SUMMARY:
Holladay Construction Group, LLC (HCG), a national commercial contracting firm with offices in four cities throughout Indiana and in Tennessee, is seeking a Construction Staff Accountant (SA) for its Northern Indiana Region. Basic duties and requirements include, but are not limited to:
Invoice Entry (in Computer Ease-Accounting Software)
Purchase Card Entry (Online & Computer Ease)
Assist with Weekly AP check processing & 25th/mo. check process
Set up Jobs and maintain job files
Record Journal Entries
Maintain subcontractor waivers and track accordingly
Complete monthly bank reconciliations
Make deposits to bank & record entries
Assist with monthly invoices/draws to customers
Analyze job cost reports
Assist in year-end preparations of financials for review or audit
Ensure company procedures and standards are maintained.
Other duties as assigned.
STAFF ACCOUNTANT PREFERRED SKILLS:
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting/Business Administration
3-5 years? experience required, preferably in the Construction Industry
The SA must be fluent and/or willing to be trained in the following software:
-Computer Ease (Accounting software
-Microsoft Word
-Microsoft Outlook
-Microsoft Excel
-Procore (Construction Management Software)
-Software/Programs progressively acquired
