Corporate Accountant Job Opening in Brazil, Indiana - Currently hiring a team-oriented individual with strong interpersonal skills, capable of managing financial data for multiple small companies in a manufacturing environment, and who is eager to add value to the company.
Primary responsibilities:
Manage and process all accounting functions: * Vendors & AP, customer billing & AR, credit control &collections. * Manage and reconcile cash. * Fixed asset accounting * Month-end closing, including accrual and pre-payments, * Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages * Assistance with annual tax returns
Manage Internal Controls * Lead the development of internal controls * Develop standardized tools, forms, etc. to streamline internal processes * Work closely with all departments to ensure accuracy of financial data & internal controls
Payroll * Manage the payment of semi-monthly payroll * Assist with processing of data for benefit plans, health, and dental insurance * Mange semi-monthly payroll entries by department
Job Requirements This position requires strong technical communications skills, both verbal and written, creativity, deep organizational skills, resourcefulness, team spirit, and determination.
Additional requirements include:
Excellent analytical skills
Experience producing monthly financial statements with focus on cash management
Hands-on, self-starter with entrepreneurial spirit comfortable working with a small team
Ability to match business needs with accounting standards
Advanced MS Excel skills
Sage 50 Accounting
Bachelor degree in Accounting, or business related field with accounting experience
Experience with trucking compliance, or the willingness to learn, is a plus.
Salary commensurate with level of experience
