Re-Order Buyer Job Opening in Idaho Falls, Idaho - The Re-Order Buyer is responsible for the purchasing of materials, equipment and supplies of the organization taking into consideration cost, quality and production time constraints. These products are to be secured at a cost, quality and lead time consistent with company requirements, policies and performance standards. The Re-Order Buyer is also responsible to expedite, track and monitor all purchases to ensure an uninterrupted and continuous supply of goods and services to meet production demands. The Re-Order Buyer works closely with the Buyer to drive supply chain improvements
Duties and
Run planning system workbenches to identify demand requirements.
Analyze demand requirement and determine purchase quantities
Initiate, monitor and expedite purchase orders according to planning system demand
Create, issue and maintain open order reports to suppliers
Track and expedite shipments based on demand requirements to ensure on time delivery
Obtain, document and input freight costs
Support the accounts payable team to address and resolve invoice discrepancies
Prepares non-stock POs for other departments.
Additional
Maintains ERP system including lead times, pricing tiers, delivery costs
Assist as needed with inventory management and warehouse activities (cycle counts, receiving and inspection)Â
Evaluates accuracy of delivered costs within the system
Supports NCL QA/Regulatory by contacting vendors to follow-up on requested documents
Qualifications
Essential
Prefer some experience in procurement and/or supply chain, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Minimum of 1-3 years of procurement and/or supply chain experience
Analytical skills and critical thinking
Ability to research problems, identify, propose and lead solutions
Ownership and initiative
Attention to detail
Good project management and interpersonal skills
Proven multi-tasking abilities
Operate ten-key and Windows based programs i.e.: Syteline and /or other similar ERP programs / Microsoft Word / Microsoft Excel / Microsoft Access.
Perform essential duties and responsibilities efficiently, accurately, and safely.
Work with minimum supervision.
Additional
Prefer Bachelorâ??s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Finance, or Accounting
Six Sigma or Lean experience
Climb stairs
