To tell you a little about myself, I am 26 years old and just recently married. I am an graduate of Holy Cross College of Notre Dame, IN where I recieved my AA degree, and am nearing the completion of my BA in education at Aquinas College. My passion is teaching children and watching them explore and grow. Currently I am working as a Preschool teacher for 3-5 year olds at a Christian Learning Center. The four years prior to that I worked in the Grand Rapids Public school system as a substitute teacher for grades K-9. During summers off, I had the privlage to nanny for a very special family until the children were able to care for themselves. I am CPR and First Aid trained and licensed. In addition to that I can supply a copy of my background check clearance form, Negitive TB tests, and mulitiple character and job references. Also important to mention is my transportation, it is a very safe and reliable SUV. My hopes are to find a family who is open to welcoming me into their hearts as both caregiver, teacher, and friend. I strive to provide educational and interactive games and day trips, lots of outdoor play and exploration, creative art projects and one on one bonding time with each child. I am willing to do light cleaning and cooking and welcome any events the children may have obligations to. Although I enjoy my job as a preschool teacher, my daily work hours are over 10.5 a day. I am looking for a more suitable fit, so that I have time to spend with my family and friends, as well as finish up my last two semesters of school.
