Sales Coordinator Job Opening in Lawrence, Kansas - The TownePlace Suites Downtown Lawrence, KS is currently seeking a Sales Coordinator. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, be able to multitask, have great organizational skills and an out-going personality.
Duties:
Respond to sales inquiries from potential clients and customers seeking sleeping rooms, meeting space, food and beverage services, etc.
Initiate new sales, prospects and qualifies leads and solicits potential clients
Conduct property site visits and answer questions
Determine rates, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, service accounts and analyze lost business for the hotel(s).
Act as Liaison between Sales Manager and clients in their absence.
Uses various computer word processing and other software packages to enter data, produce contracts, correspondence forms, memorandum and other documents
Job Requirements:
Strong oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of hotel operations preferred but not required
Strong computer skills Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
Demonstrated customer service and orientation
Excellent verbal communication
Ability to gain confidence and build rapport with customers
Excellent time-management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities Exhibit creative problem solving and strategizing
Strong decision-making capabilities resourcefulness to conduct independent research and gather information to fully understand your market and strong analytical skills
Ability to handle conflict and resolve problem situations in a level-headed manner
:
High School Diploma, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Opera Experience preferred but not required
