Summary
As a Software Engineer, the candidate will be a technical contributor and part of a team responsible for developing and maintaining our History & Analytics System using a wide range of technologies, predominately JAVA based. The system which delivers the data is primarily a REST web service, returning XML/JSON to downstream clients.
Education and Experience
4+ years? experience as a Software Engineer building enterprise-class applications in
Java/J2EE
4+ years of IT experience in a development role, preferably in a real-time market data or similar high-performance message processing environment.
Strong development experience working primarily on the development of back end and middle tier components and services.
Development in REST web services
Experience in cloud technologies and migrating from a psychical to a cloud infrastructure .
Experience in tools, preferably Automic, Jenkins and Stash .
Proficient Linux Administration and scripting skills .
Strong understanding of Networks ? understanding of multiple protocols (multicast / TCP), load balancers and firewalls.
Experience with interface settings and routing .
Infrastructure ? Ability to scope future hardware requirements and troubleshoot server related issues such as memory, CPU or network.
Database experience to write, maintain and debug queries & stored procedures.
Experience with Cassandra highly desirable Experience working in an agile development environment.
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor?s or Master?s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline.
