Physical Therapy Technician Job Opening in Glendale, Arizona - & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
Ideally, candidate will have experience in a healthcare setting, preferably an orthopedic setting. Ideally, candidate will have taken anatomy, physiology, exercise physiology, kinesiology, biomechanic, biology and psychology coursework.
PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reports to the Physical Therapy Manager. This position assists in providing Physical therapy under the direct supervision of the Physical Therapist to support delivery of innovative and comprehensive orthopedic care.
SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist therapist in patient care in all dimensions of the patient visit.
Able to supervise and facilitate exercises as advised by the supervising therapist.
Perform a vast array of therapeutic modalities on patients as well as supportive tasks under the direction of the physical therapists.
May be asked to assist in documentation of therapeutic exercises, home exercise programs and modalities in patient?s medical record in accordance to Arizona Practice Act guidelines.
Maintains inventory of supplies.
Regularly cleans therapy equipment.
Attend technician in-services and departmental staff meetings
Serve as a ?back up? to the front desk with scheduling, answering phones, faxing and copying as needed
