Position Summary
As a Route Sales Representative, you will be responsible for effectively selling and delivering Koffee Kup Bakery and Mission Food products to commercial customers while safely driving a straight truck. The primary role of the Route Sales Representative is contact between the company and our customers; therefore, candidates must have/demonstrate a fundamental commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Major Responsibilities
Upselling to existing customers
Achieving monthly product distribution goals
Organizing sales leads and forward to Area Sales Manager for follow up
Delivering correct product, in the right amount, to all customers at the scheduled delivery times and days
Maintaining necessary delivery information on all accounts
Anticipating customer needs to maintain proper customer inventories
Responding promptly to all special service requests and needs
Acting courteously, kindly, friendly and safely at all times
Operating straight truck in a safe and responsible manner
Completing DOT required documentation daily
Following defined safe work practices
Ensure all food safety requirements have been effectively maintained
Taking ownership of personal safety, and that of co-workers and the public
Supporting the team with decisions and help when needed
Communicating and actively participating within the team
Problem solving and managing conflict within the team
Job Requirements
High School diploma, GED or equivalent work experience
Must be 21 years of age or older for insurance purposes
Ability to secure and/or maintain a valid driver?s license and DOT medical certification
MVR - In last three years: Only one license; no driving-related suspension, revocation or cancellation; no disqualifying offenses; no more than two moving violations; and no reckless driving incidents.
In the last seven years, no major driving offenses - i.e. DUI/DWI, reckless driving, refusal to test, leaving the scene, or at fault fatal accident.
Job Demands
Must be able to lift 75 pounds
Constantly reaching; frequently sitting, standing, bending, squatting, walking, kneeling, climbing, lifting, pushing, pulling and driving.
Occasionally pushing and or pulling up to 200 pounds
Hours of work vary by assigned route. Start times begin between 1:00 am and 4:00 am. Hours per week average 50 to 60 hours and include weekend and/or holiday work
Days off are generally Sundays and Wednesdays but can change depending on the season/holidays
