MFA has developed an elite leadership and management-training program called the Leadership Academy. The primary focus of this program is to identify, hire, train and develop Administrators, our future business leaders.
Candidates hired for these positions will have, at a minimum, a Bachelor?s degree in a relevant healthcare field. A Master?s degree in either Business Administration (MBA) or Health Administration (MHA) is preferred. All successful candidates offered a spot in this program must agree to possible relocation based upon the needs of the company.
Beyond the interview and hiring stage, there are two additional and distinct stages of the MFA Leadership Academy. Stage one of this program is a full-time six-week intensive, company designed program that concentrates on contemporary leadership and management skills and prepares you to challenge the Federal and State licensure exams. This program is conducted at the home office in Roanoke. Candidates that successfully graduate from stage one will move to stage two.
Stage two of the Leadership Academy focuses the graduate on a full-time residency program in selected centers in Virginia with an assigned mentor. Mentors are usually current MFA administrators that have demonstrated a record of accomplishment within the MFA business model. Residency locations may change during this stage of the program to facilitate additional learning events based upon the candidate?s specific learning needs. This stage is designed to advance the candidate?s respective leadership and business experiences leading to a permanent assignment.
