Specific job requirements and duties are below:
As an Accounting clerk, you will be working in the A&R corporate office, working closely with the Corporate Comptroller and Chief Operating Officer, to review daily hotel entries, and complete daily clerical work. The Accounting clerk will need to possess knowledge of accounting practices and hotel operations. A list of responsibilities is below:
Review the hotel night audit reports and identify daily adjustments. Prepare and email hotel General Managers for explanations as needed.
Review M3 accounting software daily reports that have been completed by hotel General Managers for any errors, alert hotel General Manager of any errors that need to be corrected. Alert the proper Corporate staff member if M3 daily has not been completed.
Enter invoices in to M3 accounting software, and review hotel entered invoices for accuracy. Identify invoices with possible discrepancies and alert the proper Corporate staff personnel.
Complete daily filing as required
Review signed checks and prepare for mailing, notify Comptroller of any possible errors prior to mailing.
Enter hotel monthly inventory into M3 accounting system.
Complete special projects as assigned by the Chief Operating Officer, and Comptroller.
Update daily spreadsheet with incoming cash, credit, and check amounts and send to Comptroller to verify banking.
Process incoming mail in the absence of the Comptroller, sort by department, and distribute to the proper personnel.
Requirements:
Degree in accounting or previous job-related experience required.
Ability to work flexible schedule, as needed by the comptroller.
Previous hotel experience highly desired.
