Full Time Program Aide for Activities Job Opening in Honolulu, Hawaii - Palolo Chinese Home does not pay for relocation. Must be immediately available for in person interview.
Palolo Chinese Home (PCH) is currently seeking a qualified Full Time Program Aide for Program Aide will engage residents and participants to activities of interest; and to document plan of care properly and timely in accordance to rules and regulations set forth by regulatory bodies and management.
Qualification Requirements:
Skills/knowledge :
Posses some experience and/or knowledge of activities appropriate in a geriatric setting
Have a basic understanding of and the ability to work with ill, aged, frail, and/or disabled residents.
Be able to lead activities and work with individual residents, as well as in groups
Have flexibility, patience, a cheerful disposition, tact and enthusiasm when working with residents.
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English to facilitate proper communication with others
Must be able to provide physical and emotional care to the aged and disabled
Demonstrates autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility and cooperation in performing job responsibilities
Education/Training : High school diploma or equivalent. Must have current CPR, First Aid and Hawaii CNA certification
Experience: at least 6 months experience in long term care preferred
