Inside Sales / Counter Sales Job Opening in farmington, New Mexico - Inside Sales / Counter Sales Alpine Lumber, a 100% employee owned company is looking for our nexr superstar at our Farmington location. This important position provides direct support to the location's Outside Sales Representative(s) as well as serving walk-in customers in all sales related duties and activities. You will be responsible for entering orders, bids, and quotes into the Alpine computer system; receiving customer phone calls often as first point of contact; perform basic account maintenance; perform basic material take-offs from blueprints or construction drawings; assist with the general appearance of the store; and provide other support services as requested. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a HS diploma and 1-2 years of experience in building materials sales OR construction. Basic computer skills and basic customer service attitude and experience; basic math skills; and excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. You must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs on an infrequent basis, working in both an office/retail environment as well as outdoors. Pre-employment drug screen and background checks will be required. Full-time regular hourly non-exempt position with excellent benefits.
