Construction & Real Estate Bookkeeper Job Opening in Los Angeles, California - A design-build firm in the West Hollywood area has an immediate opening for a highly motivated Bookkeeper with construction-real estate background. Position requires strong written and verbal communications skills, attention to detail, excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for data entry of all invoices, requisitions, subcontracts and purchase orders for assigned projects
Responsible for auditing invoices and requisitions on a daily basis
Monitors cost reports for assigned projects and alerts Project Managers to problem areas
Assists Project Manager by providing backup information when requested or helping with cost code setup
Responsible for obtaining current Insurance Certificates and Endorsements from
Processes lien releases and updates the information
Prepares for and assists with audits
Prepares special reports and completes other as directed
Maintains financial security by following internal controls
Complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate's degree in business/accounting or equivalent combinations of training and experience
ComputerEase or Master Builders experience is a plus
Proficiency with QuickBooks & Microsoft Office products required
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a team player
Experience and demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects at a time
Strong organizational skills are a must
