Primary Functions
Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent(s) managing and administering the day-to-day construction activities, including coordination of submittal and document controls, CPM schedules, preparing bid packages and contracts, material deliveries, staff development, oversee project cost accounting and processing owner and subcontractor billings. This position plays an essential role for a successful project delivery. Most importantly, skills developed as an Assistant Project Manager may provide opportunities for other capacities such a Superintendent, Estimator or Project Manager.
Minimum Qualifications
Self-Starter with focus to produce value, grasp project concepts and processes quickly with strong initiative to complete tasks and assignments with minimal supervision, and with a mindset to stay on top of project deliverables.
Knowledge of job cost coding, budget structure and cost controls to support Project Managers commitment to project profitability and to provide accurate monthly financial reporting.
Assist with contract scopes with ability to understand contractual requirements
Knowledge of construction processes to maintain and updated project schedules.
Manage, organize and administer quality controls for submittal, material and shop drawing reviews.
Strong computer skills, with ability to create spreadsheets, estimate summaries, cost management and projection reports.
Excellent communication skills to Interface and be a secondary point of project contact for subcontractors, suppliers, ownership, local support services providers, property managers, state and local agencies and other project stakeholders.
Estimating knowledge to support Project Manager with bidding, change management, material procurement and subcontractor recruiting and selection.
Excellent interpersonal skills and able to work independently as well as part of an effective team.
Flexible attitude with resilience to coping with conflicting demands, able to prioritize duties and work under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications
3 years? experience working in the Construction and Architectural Industry
Experience with project management software (Procore)
Education in construction management, business or related fields.
