Position Summary
This position involves hands-on software design, implementation, and verification of medical device software and infrastructure across multiple software technologies. The successful candidate will enjoy becoming part of a small software team that will create and support products to be used by medical and lab professionals to improve the lives of newborn babies.
Roles and Responsibilities
Add features and fix bugs by writing testable code in the style of existing code bases.
Implement requirements in new software projects across multiple programming languages.
Design and implement automated unit and regression tests.
Deliver documents required by quality system and software development lifecycle process.
Research technology trade-offs and provide inputs to the software roadmap.
Infrequent travel for product support and training.
Qualifications and Requirements
Excellent communication skills.
Technical proficiency in Python, Java, or C++.
Enjoys evaluating and learning new software technologies.
Able to gather software requirements from both internal stakeholders and external customers.
Appreciation for the importance of process and documentation at each phase of the software development life cycle.
Able to quickly organize and understand complex software systems.
Education and Experience
BS in Computer Science
