SQL Developer Job Opening in Raleigh, North carolina - Develop SQL databases and writing applications to interface with SQL databases, as well as writing and testing code. Development often consists of designing tables, storing procedures, views and functions.
Duties and Responsibilities
Continuously exhibit and uphold company core values.
Develop and maintain ETL packages.
Manage monthly data loads received from various third parties.
Create ad hoc reports for various business units.
Facilitate the process of onboarding a new third party interface, debugging the data.
Learn and maintain the existing ETL interface.

Proficiency in Developing SSIS Packages to Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) data into the Data warehouse from Heterogeneous databases such as MSSQL, Oracle, DB2, Sybase and MS Access.
Skilled in Creating, Configuring and Fine-tuning MS SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
Skilled in Creating and Deploying SSRS Reports on the portal for user accessibility.
Good communication, organization and time-management skills.
Positive attitude and ability to function in a collaborative team environment.
Perseverance and self-discipline. Ability to see things through to the end.
Working understanding of SQL databases and Transact query language.
Working understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) involving Systems Analysis, Design, Development and Implementation.
Experience and Education
BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related degree program from an accredited institution.
5+ years of IT experience as MS SQL Server Developer 2012/2008 R2/2008/2005/2000.
Industry verticals like Insurance/ Finance preferable.
Experience in Business Intelligence in MS SQL Server Integration Services, MS SQL Server Reporting Services, and MS SQL Server Analysis Services.
Experience in Data warehouse development; Logical and Physical Database design & development.
Normalization and Data modeling using Erwin data model a plus.
Experience in working with SSIS packages, creating jobs and linked servers for MS SQL Server.
Experience in writing MDX queries to work with cube data?s a plus.
Experience in Pentaho a big plus.
Extensive experience in writing Parameterized Queries for generating Tabular reports, Formatting report layout, Sub reports using Global Variables Expressions Functions, Sorting the data, defining data source and subtotals for the reports using SSRS 2008/2005; preferred.
