Software Developer Job Opening in Wilmington, North carolina - Farmin' is seeking an experienced Software Developer to join our team to act as a specialist on one or more systems and be responsible for the entire life cycle of each new application! This role will include analysis, coding, testing and documentation of proprietary software. The Farmin' Software Developer will manage the entire development process of each software and should possess strengths in collaboration, communication, problem solving and thought leadership.
Responsibilities
Applies significant experience and training to the analysis, design, modification and maintenance of application programs, integrated systems and/or software solutions
Serves as the technical expert on complex applications development work assignments and problems
Generates creative solutions and translates concepts and information into images utilizing leadership and company feedback
Uses analytical skill to synthesize complex or diverse information, collect and research data and design work flows and procedures
Identifies and resolves problems quickly through gathering and analyzing information, developing alternative solutions individually and with a team
Responds to all requests for service or assistance
Develops and implements cost-saving measures at all points of the project life cycle
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor?s degree in information technology or relevant experience
2-4+ years of experience with application software development
Ability to work on site and remotely, as necessary
Ability to develop software in Java, Ruby on Rails, C++ or other programming languages
Exceptional knowledge of relational databases, SQL and ORM technologies
Experience developing web applications using at least one popular web framework
Experience with test-driven development
Expert proficiency in software engineering tools
Ability to document requirements and specifications
Ability to work independently or collaboratively, as project necessitates
