Job Description:
Clinical Research Coordinators are responsible for overseeing and executing clinical research trials for a wide range of indications, including osteoarthritis, low back pain, migraines, fibromyalgia, and dermatological conditions. CRCs report directly to the Principal Investigators to schedule and perform patient visits per sponsor protocols. Responsibilities include: Managing patient compliance and educating patients about protocol treatments, administering study medications, performing vitals, labs, and ECG?s, collecting medical histories and other clinical data elements, entering data, and working closely with study monitors to ensure protocol compliance.
Medical Assistants work directly under the dermatologist to improve the quality of patient care, while simultaneously learning skin conditions and subsequent treatment strategies. The MA?s in this program gain exposure to clinical duties required of healthcare professionals to best prepare them for medical school. Responsibilities include: Interviewing patients, maintaining patient records, counseling patients on diagnoses and treatments, drawing blood, suturing, helping coordinate patient care, and executing miscellaneous therapeutic procedures.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor?s degree, preferably from a related healthcare field
Minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale
Previous clinical research and/or patient experience not required, but is a plus
Passion for the medical field and intention to apply to medical school
