Director of Equity Fundraising Job Opening in Kansas City, Missouri - Worcester Investments is immediately seeking to fill the role of a self-motivated gritty leader with strong social skills and experience building relationships to lead and be accountable for company equity fundraising from investors. First year goal will be to raise $10MM of new equity.
Worcester Investments is a growing ten-year-old Kansas City real estate investment company with 120 team members, headquartered in downtown Kansas City. Worcester Investments owns and manages over 3,000 Kansas City apartment units. We have a track record of strong investor returns and have raised more than $40M of investor capital for real estate projects without a dedicated fundraising position.
The position will start with a competitive base salary and an aggressive incentive program based on capital raised and department net profits that includes profit sharing and an opportunity to share in fund equity.
Activities:
Network with investors, cultivate relationships, and raise capital from high-net-worth individuals and private equity companies
Track and grow your RE contacts in an organized fashion in CRM program
Keep abreast of trends and developments in the local real estate market, as well as the changing rules and regulations pertaining to the industry
Represent Worcester Investments with integrity in the community, living out the company purpose and core values
Qualifications:
Bachelor?s degree in finance, accounting, business or business experience equivalent; MBA or business experience equivalent is preferred
Strong communication (both verbal and written), negotiation, and presentation skills.
Team-oriented, work well with others, high integrity, growth-oriented
Willing to set aggressive goals
Strong organizational and time management skills
Proficiency in the use of software tools for reports, audits, analysis and presentations
Reliable vehicle transportation (will be reimbursed for mileage)
