Controller Job Opening in Earth City, Missouri - SBPI, Inc., a St. Louis based graphics printing company is seeking a Controller.
Job Summary
Plans, directs, oversees, and coordinates financial operations and activities to obtain efficiency and economy of financial operations. Establishes financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems. Guides financial decisions, protects assets, monitors, confirms, and maximizes financial conditions, and prepares financial budgets. Arranges audits and advises management about insurance coverage for protection against property loss and potential liabilities by performing the following duties personally or through assistant personnel.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage all Accounting, Office, and Human Resource functions of the Company
Provide timely & complete communication and be accountable for keeping management current on all financial matters relating to the Company
Manage and direct the budgeting process.
Recommend changes on existing policies to improve the efficiency of the Company
Manage the process of reporting to our tax advisor as required and assure compliance with all federal, state and local laws
Manage all HR functions of the Company including payroll, benefit administration, and compliance with all applicable labor law
Assist with risk management and insurance, work with insurance brokers to assure the company is properly protected.
Assist with administration of the IT functions of the Company
Prepare various reports from the accounting systems as required by other members of management team
Any other tasks as deemed necessary for the overall success of the Company
Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervise and train all accounting department personnel
Education and Experience
Master's and/or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Five years experience financial operations and supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
