Housekeeping Job Opening in Salt Lake City, Utah - The Expedition Lodge is searching for energetic and friendly staff to join our team! The position will be for a mixture of Housekeeping, Laundry, Front Desk, and Maintenance. We are newly renovated. We pay $12.00 an hour and will provide free housing for the duration of your time with us.
Basic Function:
- Performs a variety of housekeeping services to maintain clean guest rooms according to established standards. Visually inspects rooms to assist in identifying maintenance items needed. Assists guests whenever possible by providing linens, terry or providing information as requested.
- Provide outstanding service to hotel guests by responding promptly and efficiently to requests and complaints.
- Answer inquiry phone calls from potential guests and present features and benefits of the hotel in a structured attempt to convert the inquiry into a reservation at the hotel. The hotel's sales efforts are critical to its success and as a Guest Service Agent, you play a major role in this vital process!
- Take potential guests who visit the hotel on guided tours, presenting features and benefits of the hotel in a structured attempt to convert the inquiry into a reservation at the hotel.
- Communicates with fellow team members on maintenance issues, guest requests, guest complaints, and sales leads.
- Handle accounting of money, receipts, guest accounts and credit through operation of the cash register and completion of reports required to ensure company funds are secure.
More importantly, the individual must genuinely enjoy customer service, and want to accommodate any guest needs while looking for opportunities to create memorable experiences!
General Knowledge, Skill and Ability:
Requires ability to follow verbal directions.
Requires thorough knowledge of cleaning procedures as well as cleaning supplies.
Requires ability to work without direct supervision.
