Financial Analyst Job Opening in Merrimack, New hampshire - Job Function Summary: To provide in-depth financial analysis of the Company?s financial results to management and to help facilitate/organize the financial planning process for the company.
Job Functions :
Assist in the preparation of quarterly forecasts and annual budgets by establishing schedules, collecting, analyzing and consolidating financial data.
Responsible for analysis, report generation, and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual results as compared to budgets and forecasts.
Responsible for providing feedback to Marketing, Research & Development, Engineering, etc. and senior management by presenting budgets and forecasts compared to actual results on a regular basis.
Achieves budget objectives by analyzing variances and recommending corrective actions.
Assist in month end close process, particularly preparation of journal entries, reviewing posted financial results for accuracy, and ensuring financial statements are reported according to the Corporate Financial Manual
Responsible for fixed asset accounting and reconciliation. Individual will work with engineering department to own the fixed asset budget/forecasts and actuals including inventorying, depreciating, and writing off of fixed assets.
Provides analysis including development of financial models necessary to assist Senior Management in long-range planning and goal setting processes.
Performs other related duties as required.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Previous Accounting experience and financial modeling experience.
Previous fixed asset accounting and budgeting experience.
Strong analytical, technical and project management skills are necessary.
Ability to work on critical, time sensitive issues and to keep matters confidential is essential.
A critical thinker with the ability to analyze and interpret high volumes of data.
Effective project management skills to initiate lead and complete projects in a timely fashion.
Minimum Requirements:
BS Degree in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent work experience.
Two years? experience in Accounting and Corporate Finance with Fixed Asset experience required
Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications (Word/Excel) is required.
