Position Summary:
Under the general direction of the Executive VP/ Director of Business Development, the Signage Business Development Associate is responsible for representing and selling Graphcom?s Signage, trade Show, Vehicle Wrap and other services provided by Graphcom to existing and prospective clients.
In addition to selling to new customers, the Business Development Associate is responsible for developing and maintaining business needs with current customers.
They provide leadership direction for project management to their internal customers, in particular the client service team and production team, as well as their external customers.
The Business Development Associate must work to understand the needs of the internal and external clients and develop and maintain business solutions with current customers.
The Business Development Associate must also set expectations consistent with and in support of Graphcom?s company goals as well as manage, coach, and counsel performance to meet or exceed those expectations.
Essential Functions:
Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources.
Prospect aggressively and develop new customers through the use of cold calls, follow up letters, and telephone calls leading to appointments.
Prospect through the use of mailing/marketing list(s) and referrals and through networking activities (Lead Groups, Chamber of Commerce functions, etc.).
Assembles media kits and send or deliver them to prospects. Develop and maintain a comprehensive working knowledge of our capabilities and the benefits we provide.
Pursue customers who recognize our value, as opposed to those who buy only on the basis of price. Pursue customers who require the kind of printing, signage, fabric and interactive media that Graphcom is best equipped to produce.
Enter all appropriate customer and prospect information into a contact management database.
Travels to call on regular and prospective customers or talks with customers by phone or via email.
Acts as a marketing partner and assists clients or prospective clients in evaluating current processes.
Develops and delivers presentations, conducts facility tours.
Coordinates customer training when RFP process and coordinates internal resources to develop quote prices, write proposals, and credit terms.
Regularly conducts Periodic Business Reviews (PBRs) with major clients (top 10 portfolio clients at a minimum).
Develop/assemble new buyers guide to assist with transition to new buyer at existing accounts. Works with the production department and the Creative Services department to keep account activities and customer expectations met and investigate and resolve clients? issues.
Meet or exceed sales goals by: Growing revenue of selected accounts by gaining an understanding of each customer?s needs and communicating the benefits of the company and our products best suited to meet those goals.
Identifying additional decision makers in different departments and locations within those selected sales forecast reports as open and effective communication with all company personnel.
Develop and maintain professional communication and sales duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Minimum 5 years successful selling experience preferably to corporate/business accounts with a robust book of business.
