CNA Job Opening in grand rapids, Michigan - CNA JOB DESCRIPTION Essential patient care: It includes everyday personal activities of residents include bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, hydrating and eating, exercing and ambulating, brushing teeth and hair care. ?These activities also include making patients? living conditions as safe and comfortable as possible by keeping the patients? rooms neet and clean, arranging furniture and making beds, adjusting lighting and room temperature, removing potential safety hazards or sources of personal injury such as spills or objects left on the floor. Measuring vital signs: It includes recording, measuring and reporting vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration ), weight and height, meal consumption, intake and output, collecting laboratory specimens, applying resident restraints and changes in resident?s condition. Assisting with patient movement and exercise: Moving, lifting and transporting patients, ?Assisting the patient to regain or maintain body strength and normal range of motion and assisting physical exercise to maintain general well-being and musculoskeletal function. Control infection: Infection control include isolating and preventing client infection through care, hand washing, isolation procedure and handling of contaminated objects, reporting and observing environmental situations which might spread infection. Assisting doctors and nurses: Performing skills include applying non-sterile dressings; instilling enemas; attending to skin and oral needs; applying ice packs; and admitting, transferring, and discharging patients. Communication: Verbal or written communication with patients, healthcare team members, patient relatives and visitors, recording and observing resident care or information; and ?answering the telephone and taking messages. Qualifications: 1.??????? One or more of the following criteria: One year minimum of continuous experience as a Home Health Aide or Nurse Aide in a health care environment; Completion of a State (or similarly accredited) Home Health Aide or Nurse Aide training program; Completion of one year of classroom and clinical training from an accredited nursing program, medical assistance program, or other applicable direct care training program. 2.??????? Satisfactory compliance with ComForcare bonding criteria. 3.??????? Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and interact with clients, families, co-workers, and all supervisors in the English language. 4.??????? Ability to accurately follow and process written and verbal instructions. 5.???????
