Underground Equipment Sales Representative Job Opening in Dover, Delaware - Summary/Objective
The Underground Equipment Sales Representative is responsible for promoting, and selling Vermeer underground construction products and solutions. They will recognize customer needs, deliver appropriate solutions, and resolve any issues for the customers. The Underground Equipment Sales Representative must follow-up on all internally and externally sourced leads, develop a customer network, coordinate product demonstrations, and maintain customer information notes with periodic reviews.

Generate leads through cold calling, networking, and referrals.
Identify and qualify potential clients by telephone and premise visits.
Resolve customer complaints and inquiries.
Be familiar with the latest industry trends and technical advancements and successfully apply them in daily activities.
Promote entire product line as well as service contracts.
Work with management to develop plans to increase sales.
All other duties as assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Ability to lift, carry, and otherwise transport work-related materials that frequently weigh up to 80 lbs and that may occasionally weigh in excess of 50 lbs.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, benefits eligible position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays.
Travel
Frequent travel to customer?s locations is required, approximately 80%. Territory includes Delaware, Eastern Shore Maryland, and Eastern Shore Virginia.
Required Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED required
College Degree preferred
2 years of sales experience in a related field
Valid Driver?s License, CDL a plus
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Positive attitude
Must have excellent customer service skills
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work efficiently
