Controller Job Opening in Greenville, South carolina - Controller
Responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial reporting matters for the organization. This includes leading the preparation and review, in conjunction with the Senior Management Team, of all financial information for financial closings. Provide information, primarily financial in nature, about all company activities that will assist management in making educated economic decisions.
Duties will include:
Oversee all financial accounting matters, including identification of issues, determining financial priorities, analysis of the issues and recommendations to the CFO.
Ensure that financial accounting transactions, policies and procedures meet corporate objectives, needs and regulatory body requirements. Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
Work closely with departments to obtain information necessary to ensure monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements is accurate and available on a timely basis.
Evaluate all periodic financial statements for the Company to assure that they are prepared accurately and they are consistent with the financial operations of the corporation.
Participate in explaining all periodic financial statements to the Senior Management Team to assure an adequate understanding.
Prepare consolidated financial information for the Company for periodic Board of Directors meetings
Aassist other financial, administrative and other personnel, as required, to assure that the Company?s financial interests are protected
Skills and Abilities Required:
A minimum of five years experience working with reporting responsibilities
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting
CPA is preferred, but not required
