We are currently seeking an outgoing, people person to join our team of Healthcare Professionals in the Fairfield County area.
SUMMARY:
The HR Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the department (recruitment, training, payroll, employee relations, benefits). Performs a variety of administrative and project management services to support the basic human resources functions at the facility.
Assists with the applicant intake process per company policies, including pre-screening applicants, scheduling interviews, coordinating the drug screen, and conducting background and reference checks.
Oversees all process for newly hired employees; including processing new hire paperwork and ensuring compliance to government and organization recordkeeping requirements (i.e., I-9).
Ensures all new employees have completed new hire paperwork training, including but not limited to, the Employee Handbook acknowledgement, Code of Conduct acknowledgement; serves as a point person in answering benefits questions and assists employees in enrolling in the benefits programs. Assists with the new hire orientation.
Confidentially ensures all employee personnel files are up-to-date.
Ensures human resources policies and procedures are communicated and adhered to; periodically conducts in-service training on new or updated policies that affect employees.
Records, processes and maintains employee records related to safety per OSHA and Risk Management policy and procedure.
Facilitates an open door policy and appropriately directs employee relations issues to the Administrator, Director of Nursing and/or the Corporate HR Director.
Administers and coordinates documentation for all leaves of absence, including FMLA and associated documents.
Ensures all up-to-date legal postings are placed in a designated area within established timeframes.
Performs other duties as assigned.
This is a Supervisory position responsible for oversight of Payroll and two HR Associates.

College degree or equivalent work experience strongly preferred!
At least one year of general human resources experience, including basic labor law and benefits.
Experience in payroll processing.
Proficiency with Microsoft products including Word and Excel.
Experience with ADP and Kronos preferred.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Must have the ability to work with all levels of employees.
Ability to conduct training to employees.
Long Term care experience strongly preferred!
All candidates must pass mandatory drug and physical screen, and criminal background check and fingerprinting.
This is a fulltime, benefit eligible position.
