Sales and Marketing Director, Senior Housing Job Opening in Hebron, Connecticut - Exciting new leadership opportunity for an experienced Director of Sales and Marketing for a new to market 113 unit senior living community in the greater Hartford, Connecticut area.
The Director of Sales and Marketing will work directly with the Executive Director and ownership team to promote the senior living community within the marketplace and to prospective residents.
Responsibilities:
Develop outreach activities to promote the senior living community in the marketplace and to identify potential new residents.
Maintain a database of leads for prospective new residents and referral sources.
Follow up with all prospective residents on a timely basis throughout the sales process.
Assist the Executive Director in nurturing and maintaining a customer service culture and commitment throughout the organization.
Update and maintain information on local competitor senior living communities and services.
Work with the Executive Director in monitoring, updating and executing the Sales and Marketing Plan on an ongoing basis.
Identify and pursue opportunities for positive publicity for the senior living community.
Provide training, support and feedback to other managers and staff to help them identify and carry out the important role that each department and employee plays in the sales and marketing effort and to achieve a sales and marketing culture throughout the organization.
Meet established occupancy, sales and move-in goals and projections.
Work to ensure that all move-ins occur in a timely manner.
Prepare sales and marketing reports and projections as directed.
Manage other marketing staff and administrative staff as assigned.
Experience, Skills and Requirements:
Demonstrated experience in sales and marketing, preferably in a service organization.
Experience working with seniors and people with disabilities.
Ability to present self and community in a positive and professional manner.
Must be an enthusiastic self-starter who is able to work independently.
Must have excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Must possess a passion for enhancing the lives of seniors.
Ability to work in a fast paced healthcare environment and interface with a variety of healthcare professionals.
Must be a good listener who is able to deal with residents and families who are in crisis in an adept and empathic manner.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule as needed, including some early evenings and weekends.
Minimum of three (3) years health care marketing experience.
Minimum of a Bachelor?s Degree in healthcare administration, business management, marketing, public relations or related field preferred.
