Payroll/Accounting Specialist Job Opening in Tempe, Arizona - Marsoner, Inc.
Job Title: Payroll / AP
Reports To: CFO
SUMMARY
Performs essential tasks and duties within the accounting department and does so utilizing company established policy and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Payroll
Review, verify and enter
Make employee changes in numerous programs
Process biweekly payroll, W2, quarterly reports
File and maintain employee and payroll records (both hard and electronic)
Insurance: hand out all correspondence to employees, answer inquires, audit invoice before it gets paid
Vacation/Sick time: tracks all time off for all entities of company and answers all inquires.
W2 tracking
Administer Accounts Payable including coding, posting, paying invoices, and maintaining files.
Reconcile monthly vendor statements.
Ensure vendor consistency in billing and A/P practices.
Maintain vendor information
Assist Controller with reconciliation duties.
Research documents and invoices as required.
Reply to vendor inquiries.
Verify Purchase Orders and receivers to invoices and applies remittances.
Track returns and ensures proper application of credits.
Gift Cards loading, tracking for HQ
Re-reconcile connectpro, GP Postings, connect pro flags (IT)
Daily (check for red 401 flags in RMS, make sure ramp job has completed w/o errors, make sure store batches are closed) (IT)
Special Tasks:
Verify employment and answer any questions.
Research items as required
Special projects
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Two to four years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of post secondary education and experience related to
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, professional journals, or procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports, business correspondence, and respond to common inquiries. Ability to effectively request and present information and respond to questions from managers, employees, clients, customers and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages. Ability to interpret common graphs and apply concepts of basic algebra.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out daily functions. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with several variables in situations where varying degrees of standardization exist. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
