Tax Senior Responsibilities:
In the Tax Senior position, the successful candidate will:
Assist managers on client engagements
Develop and implement tax-efficient structures
Prepare complex tax returns for corporations, partnerships, LLCs, S-corporations and individuals
Prepare or review tax estimates and projections
Participate in manager led, wealth & tax strategy calls with clients
Research and manage complex tax matters, including planning and compliance
Respond to inquiries from regulatory authorities
Detailed reviews of tax returns and provide feedback to staff
Staying current on recent tax developments within the US
Research and participate in planning opportunities for international clients
Demonstrate qualities of a team leader and assist in mentoring Tax Staff
Manage chargeable hours and realization
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in accounting required
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or working towards obtainment of licensure.
2-5 years tax experience tax experience including tax planning, compliance, and preparation
Thorough knowledge of the tax impact to individuals and their business and investments
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines is a must
Strong organizational, time management and follow through skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Integrity, dependability, and trustworthiness
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters of Tax degree preferred
Big 4 firm experience preferred
Computer proficiency with software programs such as RIA Checkpoint, UltraxTax, Workpapers, Practice Management, QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
