Demand Planner Job Opening in Scottsdale, Arizona - AVAD is North America?s premier AV solutions provider - specializing in both residential and commercial integration. We are currently seeking a Supply/Demand Planner to join our team.
The Supply/Demand Planner will manage demand and supply processes by improving the accuracy and reliability of the planning through the creation and evaluation of SKU-level operational forecasts for all products within their assigned portfolio. The focus of this role is to take historical data, put analysis behind it, and gather input from other stakeholders, including Sales, Marketing and Customer Service. Key to this role is managing the exceptions to enhance the responsiveness of the organizations ability to fulfill customer demand. This position is responsible for balancing supply with demand to improve delivery performance while maintaining optimal stocking levels by location across the distribution network.
Responsibilities:
Conduct daily / weekly / monthly forecast trend analysis key to driving purchasing decisions
Manage select monthly forecast calls with vendors and customers
Manage product lifecycle initiatives in conjunction with Product Team and Sales
Manage E&O (Excess & Obsolescence) across product buying category inclusive of problem resolution
Communicate forecast variance monthly and drive dialogue cross-functionally within the organization in accordance with defined goals
Collaborate with internal and external sales teams for demand planning
Work closely with Implementation Team to ensure adequate product supply is in place to support new client boarding and product rollouts
Manage monthly reporting of KPI?s relative to stated organizational objectives
Create purchase orders in ERP system and issue to vendors
Maintain and manage accurate vendor ETA?s on purchase orders through weekly review of vendor shipping schedule (update in ERP system)
Manage vendor shipping costs via buying practices in order to maximize load consolidation and minimize freight expenditure
Maintain inventory planning models (excel based and systemic)
Maintain a customer-centric approach in managing communication and driving problem resolution, while meeting client service level agreements (SLA?s)
Participate with Product / Vendor Team in managing RFQ?s
Leverage lean principles to maintain and drive continuous process improvement initiatives and KPI development
Effectively manage projects and meet deadlines relative tom product management.
Responsible for mitigating revenue impact and risk through troubleshooting and executing solutions in collaboration with customer, sales, client relations and the vendor
Qualifications:
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting, finance, Supply chain, Manufacturing or related degree / equivalent experience (MBA, CPM, CPIM, PMP a plus)
3+ years of current experience with any Control systems or ERP systems experience
5+ years of experience with any system tools, utilizing MRP or DRP concepts preferred
3-5 years purchasing experience within the manufacturing or distribution industries required
Knowledge of ERP Procurement and Demand Management software systems preferred
Expert ability in data analysis and strong project management skills with strength in ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong Excel skillset required (financial analysis, formula?s, pivot tables, etc.)
