Position Title: Sr Staff Accountant

We are currently looking for a Sr Staff Accountant to join our world. The Sr Sraff Accountant would be a major contributor to our Accounting team and assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements, other accounting statements and management reports.
The Sr Staff Accountant performs an array of accounting and administrative functions that are assigned and that are primarily associated with the daily business operations and the responsibilities of Controller.
PRIMARY DUTIES :
Review Employee Payroll Records (time sheets, PTO adjustments, OT)
Interface with Human Resources Department for proper reporting
Process payroll, bonuses, and commissions on a bi-weekly basis for two companies
Import payroll journal entries into general ledger
Payroll Administrator for ADP
Reconcile employee benefit deductions to invoices
Prepare and provide reports as requested by management
Prepare papers for balance sheet accounts related to payroll.
Multi state compliance and sales tax reporting
Process/record journal entries for Month End closing
Special projects as needed
Assist Controller with month and year-end closing and reporting
Performs other related duties as required and assigned by Controller
JOB SPECIFICATIONS :
Education ? Minimum BS in Accounting
Related Work Experience ? Minimum of 5 years total experience in accounting field. Corporate accounting environment in a similar position preferred.
Technical Skills ? Advanced knowledge and use of Microsoft Office software applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint), QuickBooks, NetSuite or other mid-size ERP System; ADP Payroll
Non-Technical Skills ? Strong analytical skills; strong verbal and written communication skills; strong organizational skills. Ability to assess (trouble-shoot), recommend (identify options) and/or resolve (give direction) in problem areas. Perform with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative, self-discipline, attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a deadline driven environment. Capacity to recognize and maintain confidential information.
Communication Skills ? Must possess logic of thinking, active listening skills, clear delivery of speech, and excellent written communication. Must have keen judgment to prioritize, plan, execute and accomplish goals, and interface with customers, professionals, technicians, clinicians, and managerial staff.
Physical Requirements ? Use of all limbs and senses. Routine and frequent walking, sitting, standing, talking, and reaching; expected to lift items not more than twenty (20) pounds; ability of close vision and adjustment in focus.
Environmental Conditions ? Generally, office environment with minimal noise and controlled temperature.
Representation ? Conservative, professional attire, personal appearance and demeanor to best represent image of Optima Healthcare Solutions.
Hours of Work ? Routinely, Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm; additional daily or weekend hours, as needed, for special projects or to meet deadlines.
