Staff Accountant Job Opening in Tampa, Florida - Nationally ranked specialty commercial subcontractor with (3) locations in Florida has an immediate opening for an Accountant in Tampa. Must have two or more years working experience in commercial construction accounting and a degree in Accounting or Finance.
Required Skills
Ability to work independently and within a team with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness. Detailed oriented and reliable.
Strong problem solving, documentation, research and resolution, and data analysis skills
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Able to supervise and/or willing to perform bookkeeping tasks including receiving payments, making deposits, reconciling accounts, processing payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable and more
Supports an environment of continuous improvement by making recommendations and implementing solutions wherever possible
Work Experience
Familiar with all administrative aspects of commercial construction cost accounting, HR/PR, risk management and insurance.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, advanced Excel skills preferred
Working knowledge with integrated construction accounting software such as Vista by Viewpoint, Timberline
