Staff Accountant Job Opening in Ponte Vedra, Florida - Job Summary :
The Staff Accountant is primarily responsible for Accounts Payable and recording of Company credit card transactions. This role will also support other functions such as general ledger, accounts receivable and inventory. Attention to detail is critical, excellent communication and technical skills will also be key characteristics of the successful candidate. This position will report directly to the Sr. Accounting Manager but will interact with all members the finance team.
Responsibilities:
Ensure credit card transactions are recorded into accounting system via Concur
Review expenses for compliance with company policies
Route vendor invoices for approval, code and record in accounting system
Process weekly check-run per aging requirements
Perform various month-end balance sheet account reconciliations as required
Assists with various inventory tasks such as incoming receiving of products and cycle counts
Other accounting projects as needed
Job Qualifications and Key Competencies:
Minimum of 2-3 years? experience as an accountant or bookkeeper
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting/Finance required
Must have excellent computer and technical skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat; Quickbooks experience preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Intelligent with good judgment and ability to work efficiently
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Must be flexible and adaptable and enjoy teamwork and collaboration
Must be able to lift 30 pounds to assist with shipping products when required
