Staff Accountant Job Opening in Saint Petersburg, Florida - Klement Family Dental is seeking an enthusiastic, confident, pleasant, customer service professional to join our team as a Staff Accountant
Overview:
The Staff Accountant will work closely with the Senior Director of Operations, Director of Finance, Director of Operations, HR Recruiter, A/R Coordinator, Director of Marketing and other management and staff to assist in the maintenance of accurate accounting records, to protect assets and to provide support for company operations.
This person will have a strong attention to detail, be an active contributor to the operations of the company and have overall responsibility for the day to day accounting functions.
Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
BA/BS Degree in Accounting
Minimum 1 year related experience
Experience with QuickBooks required
Experience in a health care or medical environment preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform all accounts payable functions
Execute all payroll functions
Reconcile bank and credit card statements
Reconcile general ledger accounts
Manage insurance refunds and reconciliations
Review daily cash receipts and make bank deposits
Prepare month end reports and analysis as needed
Manage and coordinate fringe benefits record-keeping
Prepare cash flow projections
Prepare sales tax and other filings
Prepare bonus calculations
General filing and record-keeping
Manage purchasing function
Manage company fixed assets and depreciation schedules
Provide support and liasie with outside accountants and consultants
Ensure maintenance and effectiveness of accounting policies and procedures
Provide overall support to management and other team members
