Benefits Manager Job Opening in Baton Rouge, Louisiana - The Benefits Manager is responsible for researching trends, best practices and federal/state laws related to the employee benefit plans to ensure quality benefits while effectively managing cost. This position develops, recommends, implements and evaluates approved benefit programs/plans consistent with the hospital?s strategic priorities. This role ensures all plans comply with applicable laws and reporting requirements; as well as manages a small staff and various vendor partnerships.
Requires a bachelor?s degree in related field such as human resources management, accounting, healthcare or business administration or five years equivalent benefit administration experience. In addition to the above, this position requires three years of benefit administration experience managing a self-funded health plan, retirement, life and various voluntary benefit plans. Benefit administration in a healthcare setting is preferred. HR certification is also preferred. Requires MS office experience and excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills.
