Finance Manager -CPA Job Opening in Shelton, Connecticut - Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree accounting with CPA
5 years or more accounting experience with staff supervision experience
Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Advanced -level Excel proficiency including pivot tables, V-Lookups, advanced formulas, etc.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with a variety of areas
Ability to multi-task and to think outside the box to problem solve
Able to complete tasks accurately and in time line required
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains.
Responsibilities:
Supervise, direct and review Accounting Department work and personnel.
Recommend, create, improve and implement accounting processes and procedures for the company.
Produce financial statements and ad hoc financial reports.
Cash management
Supervise Accounts Payable process
Accounts Receivable ? Reconcile all deposits to A/R system.
General Ledger income/expense, adjusting entries and trend analysis.
Oversees Regulatory reporting, including 1099?s, unclaimed property reporting sales tax, property tax returns and filings.
Completion of monthly and year-end closing process and preparation of related management reports.
Vision and ability to identify and implement opportunities for improvement.
Perform other duties as assigned or required
