Midwest Sales Representative Job Opening in Seattle, Washington - Lindblad Expeditions is seeking a Regional Sales Representative with a focus on the Midwestern U.S. Candidates will use their experience to reach decision-makers and influence sales. All candidates must understand Small Ship Expedition travel, and be able to communicate benefits effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and coordinate a sales strategy for the market to reach and exceed sales goals and overall profitability for the company
Grow profitable sales through new and existing accounts
Develop engagement with existing accounts through product training, communication, sales incentives and marketing
Identify new accounts and opportunities
Build collaborative sales and marketing plans for key accounts with specific sales targets
Provide clients with regular and informative updates on productivity and progress; inspire and influence them to reach sales goals
Conduct influential and engaging product training and sales presentations
Provide relevant content, and offers to accounts for timely promotion to drive sales
Represent company at regional and national industry trade shows, seminars and events to promote Lindblad Expeditions
Assist in coordination of ship inspections, and onboard educational opportunities
Manage and control expenses to meet budget guidelines
Work in collaboration with the sales team to develop sales, training and marketing tools for the retail travel trade
Contribute innovative solutions, client feedback, competitive intelligence, and support to sales and marketing
Other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Bachelor?s degree
Minimum of 3 years travel industry sales experience with US Retail Agencies, Wholesaler and Tour Operator markets.
Strong decision making skills, ability to manage projects with multiple tracks; ability to develop clear action plans, demonstrated organizational skills, excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. The ability to work independently as well as with others in a team environment. Must be able to travel up to 60% in the region, and work remotely. Strong attention to detail and follow-up.
OTHER SKILLS
Proficient computer skills in the Windows operating system, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Webinar Software, CRM, Social Media
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk and hear. The employee will also be required to write and type. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
