Cloud Solutions Engineer Job Opening in ATLANTA, Georgia - ur Client is seeking an experienced and motivated Cloud Solutions Engineer who will focus on cloud service solutioning and automation within the Microsoft Azure or AWS cloud platform. As part of the Cloud Center of Excellence, they will work within an agile product team to design, automate using Infrastructure as Code(IaC) and document high-quality, innovative and fully performing cloud-based hosting solutions that complies with enterprise IT policy and Global Trade regulations.
Key responsibilities include:
Use solution-independent architecture patterns to design, develop, and document automated deployment solutions via Infrastructure as Code using compliant cloud application stacks
Work within an Agile product team, taking objectives from the product owner, breaking them down into detailed increments, and delivering committed capability on-time
Guide/assist application teams to optimize their own CI/CD pipelines and automation efforts using best practices and enterprise standards
Ensure service compliance with IT Security policies, NIST 800-53, CMMC control requirements
Provide self-service provisioning and management automation for bimodal applications teams ? supporting both traditional IaaS workload and modern serverless applications
Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues, communicating and documenting procedures, and recommending architectural changes when necessary
Accomplishments (in the first year):
Establish a library of examples/blueprints/components of Terraform modules and/or Ansible Playbooks to standardized lifecycle management and accelerate deployment of cloud assets
Work across organizations to help accelerate public and private cloud adoption
Education
8 Years Experience with BS or BA Degree in a technical program desired
Experience/Qualifications
5+ years relevant work experience applicable experience developing technical solutions for large complex IT systems, demonstrating a high degree of ingenuity, creativity and resourcefulness
Microsoft Azure or AWS Certifications desired
Deep technical understanding of Cloud and infrastructure services, including Microsoft Azure and/or AWS, a general understanding of cloud and on-premise networking, servers and storage
Ability to work both as a member of cross-functional teams as well as independently
Strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical, communication and technical skills are essential. Ability to build and maintain customer relationships; strong team player, able to meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities.
Ability to manage ambiguous or competing requirements, collaborating with project teams to align on solutions
Strong hands-on experience specifically requiring Terraform and Ansible, but also with any of the following DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools would be of benefit (Chef, Puppet, Git, ADO, or Jenkins) with an ?Automation First? attitude
Knowledge in Defense Contracting and/or Aerospace industry is preferred
Effective communication and documentation skills with technical and non-technical colleagues
Experience with production enterprise workloads and concepts such as:
Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services, leveraging Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) offerings in both Commercial & GovCloud implementations
Deployment of effective HA/DR cloud deployment strategies
Agile/SAFe software development methodologies and tools
Various database technologies (SQLServer, MYSQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and data interchange formats (XML, JSON)
Identity and access management solutions, single sign-on federation such as Ping, LDAP, Microsoft Server Active Directory and Microsoft Azure Active Directory
Cloud Migration and Hybrid/Multi Cloud automation technologies
