Senior AWS Net/Dev Automation Engineer Job Opening in Woodstock, Georgia - Senior AWS Net/Dev Engineer (*must have Automation)
Required Experience / Skills:
Experience with installing, configuring, and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS, and other data center services
Minimum of 5-7 years? experience with the following:
Understanding of networking and routing principles including experience with understanding OSI Layer 2, Layer 3 concepts
Experience working with BGP and MPLS routing protocols
Operational experience supporting Cisco router and switch infrastructure
F5 load balancers
Basic experience with Palo Alto Firewalls and VPN technologies
Experience with automation leveraging tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Salt, Chef and/or Terraform
Experience with scripting using Python
Basic working knowledge of AWS cloud components with operational cloud experience (especially hybrid cloud environments leveraging AWS)
An analytical mind with ability to learn new technologies quickly
Strong desire to grow and evolve network, systems, and cloud skills with a company that is migrating workloads from on-premises data center infrastructure to AWS public cloud
Strong documentation skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
4 year degree
Nice to have:
Familiarity with working with infrastructure environments supporting the financial services industry
Experience in Layer 4 / 7 Load balancing design and optimization
DNS administration
Experience with SDN / NFV technologies
Important Comments/Notes About This Role:
Needs to be very well versed in AWS ? deployments/migrations ? doesn?t necessarily have to be certified, but being certified via AWS (either Engineering, DevOps, Architecture) is a plus ? must have hands on experience
Needs to be very well versed in Automation ? must have hands on experience
Must be able to script/code ? they will have to pass the interviews and tests ? Python is a plus, but if they have solid experience with other tools that?s fine
Must have a strong Network Engineer background
Must have worked in larger environments and environments that are always active/high stressed network environments
Financial industry experience is a plus
Must be able to communicate and answer conceptual questions
