Full Charge Bookkeeper Job Opening in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - Part Time Bookkeeper
Farm to City, located in Center City Philadelphia, seeks a full-charge with demonstrated experience with QuickBooks; reports to the Director. Most work can be done from home office; occasional meeting with Director at office. Approx season hours are:
24 hrs/week, mid-October through mid-May
4-6 hrs/week, mid-May through mid-October
Job Duties & Responsibilities
prepare and send monthly billing for Farmers Market vendors (year-round)
send bi-monthly payments to Winter Harvest producers (Nov through Apr)
assist with database maintenance for Winter Harvest
send payments to CSA farms as needed (February-May)
receive payments and make deposits
reconcile QuickBooks with bank statements
process Paypal receipts
reconcile Paypal with QuickBooks
pay bills and reimbursements to staff
call in payroll and enter journal entries for payroll
produce report on work completed each week
keep time sheet by program: Farmers? Markets, Winter Harvest, CSA, Admin.
produce monthly reports from QuickBooks
generate monthly P&L statements and balance sheets, review with Director
prepare year-end reports for use in Federal, State, and Philadelphia tax returns
Job Requirements
Ability to process information correctly and efficiently, work independently, pay attention to details and maintain confidentiality. Applicant must have demonstrated QuickBooks & Excel experience. Previous experience working as a Bookkeeper required. At least a bachelor?s degree in finance, accounting, or business is preferred.
Compensation
$18-20 per hour as a contract employee, depending on experience. Only people with strong QuickBooks experience can apply.
