Sr SD-WAN Engineer Job Opening in ALPHARETTA, Georgia - The Sr. SDWAN Engineer will analyze requirements to meet demand and performance of KORE?s new software defined networking products and platforms. Will be expected to create engineering design evaluations of vendor solutions. May design, develop, test and implement all components, equipment, and software within the functional area of the project.
Acts as technical consultant within KORE Labs in the area of SDN/NFV/SD-WAN and promotes positive change in the company?s business strategy through achievement of specific objectives and technological innovation.
Contribute to KORE?s SDN/NFV & Edge Connectivity product roadmap through innovations & cross-team discussions.
Responsible for strategic development of global network designs and automation software to reduce costs, increase scale, improve quality, meet new product needs.
Work closely with KORE Labs development team to expose unique SD-WAN security, QoS and traffic management capabilities that can be integrated into customer facing API?s and IoT Connectivity Management platforms.
Will mentor KORE Network Engineers on SD-WAN and SDN/NFV best practices and procedures.
10+ Years of relevant experience and bachelor?s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience)
Extensive Experience with Edge, uCPE, SD-WAN (Viptela, VeloCloud Aryaka, other), SASE, and other network workloads for Enterprise / Cloud.
Strong understanding of common enterprise networking concepts and protocols including DHCP, DNS, NAT, VLAN, LACP, OSPF, BGP, QoS. MPLS
Experience of Software Defined Networks and Network Function Virtualization.
Network Automation Experience a Must
Experience delivering security solutions for SD-WAN and Enterprise Routing solutions.
Ability to perform the following tasks within the network: add/remove/change VLANs, SVIs, vPCs, firewall ACEs, LACP port-channels, configure IPSEC VPN, dynamic routing neighbor relationships, route filtering, HSRP, access/trunk port configuration, interfaces, and address families in VRFs, load-balancing virtual servers, global load balancing virtual servers
Experience working with GCP Network Connectivity Center (Global SD-WAN Fabric) and AWS Cloud WAN a plus
