MedCo Services provides business office solutions to healthcare facilities, specializing in outsourced patient billing and pre-registration. Founded in 1994, MedCo has a rich history of providing billing solutions with a call center that excels at the difficult art of mixing excellent collections with excellent customer service.
We are seeking an IT Director to direct the efforts of the IT Department. The Department currently consists of one Helpdesk Systems Analyst and one Intermediate Web Developer. Several former software developers who still provide services as independent contractors are also available. The Department supports the day-to-day activities of the business, in particular the call center, and also works on large-scale development and compliance projects.
The IT Director will be a part of a five-person IT-knowledgeable director?s team that values teamwork, communication, and innovative solutions with solid software backing. We are a small but nimble business enjoying our best year ever with more to come, and the Director will have the opportunity to work on exciting and diverse projects such as electronic patient statements, text message statements, client onboarding, custom registration software solutions, custom reporting, and overseeing the growth of the IT Department.
Current Setup
Proprietary CMS software application that manages patient data
Call center environment with VoIP phones, all system-configurable through a private server and web-based front end
Custom Ticket system for helpdesk support issues
In-house Exchange server
Cisco ASA devices for firewall
Open-stack Microsoft shop
Tasks and Responsibilities
Support and Direct software projects with both in-house and contractor software developers
Manage the efforts and workflow of IT staff
Project Management
Compliance documentation
Manage and maintain server equipment
Manage and maintain backup generators
Assist personnel with custom reports for client needs by running SQL queries
Desired Knowledge and Experience
C#
Java XML experience preferred
SQL and TSQL experience preferred
Cisco certifications preferred
Familiarity with compliance: HIPAA, PCI, HITECH, basic ISO20k
