Fitscript is looking for a PR specialist to facilitate effective message dissemination to key media in support of the company's brand positioning and marketing activities. This role has a high level of responsibility and works directly with the company?s leadership team and outside agencies.
Fitscript?s objective is to become the premiere global brand for exercise and diabetes by building on our leading position in the diabetes fitness space. We intend to provide innovative solutions to the millions across the globe that are challenged by reducing, reversing, and controlling their diabetes.
Responsibilities
Proven ability to create partnerships within industry and community; strong media relations experience, preferably in digital health solutions
Excellent media networking (traditional and non-traditional); existing relationships in related industry a plus
Experience handling media interviews, writing for media, pitching stories for media
Extensive communications experience required, direct work with journalists is highly desirable.
Serve as a key contact for media, industry partners and the community
Experience managing and building media list
Oversee community management to maximize engagement and advocacy for the Glucosezone brand
Strategic thinking and critical analysis of data, business information, messaging with emphasis on impact to business.
Identify ways in which to measure success against campaign goals and achievable outcomes
Capable of creating and managing marketing and public relations teams
Creating and managing annual marketing and public relation budgets
Requirements
3-5 years of experience in Marketing, Public Relations or Communications
Bachelor?s degree, with major in Public Relations, English, Communications, Journalism, Mass Media, Marketing or related field.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Candidate should possess a thorough command of the social media and digital world, including a firm understanding of the current healthcare environment
Web design experience not required, but strongly preferred
Must Maintain a high level of organization in a fast-paced environment
Must be available to work at our facilities in New Haven, CT
