Healthcare Collections Supervisor Job Opening in North Haven, Connecticut - Job Summary: Responsible for backing up Senior Management/Director for all Collection activities.
Must be available to work until 9 pm Monday through Friday and 8 am - noon Saturday!
Duties and Job Functions, including but not limited to:
Responsible for collecting payments from delinquent medical and dental self-pay accounts;
Make payment arrangements;
Provide in-house supervision of staff to ensure productivity and compliance with policies and procedures;
Attend meetings when required by senior management;
Contact debtors by telephone and send statements via mail to debtors, insurance companies, attorneys, etc. in accordance with established policies/procedures;;
Timely completion of all Performance Reviews;
Provide necessary customer/client services both on and off-site when required;
Productivity analysis;
Counsel and discipline staff to ensure quality of work and adherence to Company policies and procedures;
Coach staff and provide constant training and continuing education;
Establish work schedules and assignments in conformance with current Company policies;
Supervise collectors (especially in absence of Manager/Assistant Manager);
Coordinates special projects as assigned;
Asist collectors resolving issues with debtors;
Monitor work;
Attend educational seminars;
Communicates effectively with team leads, supervisors, and/or Senior Management;
Other duties as assigned by Senior Management
Special Skills, including but not limited to:
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills;
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Knowledge of FDCPA and associated state regulations
Experience in hospital/physician billing and collections
Education: Associates Degree or higher required (or currently working towards degree)
