Assistant Controller Job Opening in Abilene, Texas - We are seeking a working manager to support our healthcare operations that is highly organized and skilled in time management to fulfill the role of Assistant Controller. Reporting to the Controller/VP of Finance, the Assistant Controller will be responsible for adhering to deadlines while producing quality work products.
Job include:
Prepare journal entries, accruals, re-classes, and publish timely and accurate GAAP-based financial statements for assigned entities monthly
Reconcile balance sheet accounts for assigned communities
Provide analytics and recommendations based on financial data to management
Prepare sales tax and payroll tax reports quarterly
Support the annual budget and audit processes
Assist in the preparation of Medicare and Medicaid cost reports
Review and reconcile Forms W-2 and 1099 annually
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting or related field
CPA preferred
Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting; healthcare experience strongly preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
