Business Development Manager / OEM Sales Manager Job Opening in Ogden, Utah - Qnergy is currently seeking a dynamic team player for our Business Development/OEM Sales Manager opening. This position may work remotely from a home office or from the Qnergy corporate offices in Ogden, UT. The Business Development Manager/OEM Sales Manager will work in a team environment and will be responsible for the strategic development and execution of sales strategies in various industries with main objective of matching our Free-Piston Stirling Engine with the right market. The successful candidate will accomplish this by promoting the company?s value proposition and cultivating relationships with prospects, strategic partners and key accounts.
Job summary:
Conducting research to identify all markets and customer needs
Identifies trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements
Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities.
Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities; recommending equity investments.
Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners' needs and goals.
Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.
Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Identifying prospects, building relationships of trust with customers and employees, and securing new customers to further expand growth in the market
Maximize sales, margins and increase market share
Manage and retain key accounts and strategic partnerships and find new ways to generate business from existing sales accounts
Participate in formulating sales and marketing strategies and recommend set of targets and priorities

Skills/knowledge,
S. in Engineering, Business, Marketing or related field
5+ years of highly technical sales experience (capital equipment, outside sales preferred) or technical product market launch experience
Direct experience in a standard and/or renewable energy industry
Understands energy markets and can critically evaluate key drivers and parameters
Demonstrated success in developing territories and product launch
Possesses strong presentation and negotiation skills
Proficient in CRM systems, Microsoft office and other programs
Able to travel domestic and internationally to meet customers, attend trade shows, complete research, attend meetings etc.
Capable of handling multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance and supervision; A HIGH LEVEL OF INTEGRITY IS ESSENTIAL!
Physical effort and dexterity
Regular use of a computer keyboard is required
Employee regularly sits, stands and walks for a number of hours per day
This position requires the employee to be present in the office or on the job site, and therefore, attendance is an essential function of this position
This position requires the employee to travel to domestic and international locations on a regular basis, and therefore, the ability and willingness to travel is an essential function of this position
Visual acuity, hearing and speaking
Employee is regularly required to speak and hear clearly, both in person and by telephone
Regularly utilizes written and oral communication skills
Requires ability to read and interpret information and documents
Performs detailed work on multiple concurrent projects
Environment and scheduling
Primarily office environment with up to 50% travel required including weekend travel
Must be able to work overtime or weekends periodically as business needs require
Must be able to work under deadlines and be accountable to timing as business requires.
Position requires interacting with management, internal peers, customers and outside technical and sales experts. Be able to build a strong rapport with others in the company.
